Dropbox has been on steady decline over the years. It used to be great, set standards. Now, in 2024, it can't even reliably upload photos from iPhone's camera roll or sync a desktop client. It's a bloated, confused, error-spitting mess of useless, invasive collaboration garbage when one just wants storage and sync.
I've been a paying Dropbox customer for decades, I've hated their bad support, and I've hated that their support agents can see my files. They call it secure, but it clearly is NOT.

Dropbox is "storage on the cloud." The cloud is a large bunch of computers all hooked together so that you don't really know what computer is what. it basically becomes this big giant computer that could have tons and tons of space or do crazy hard calculations for you. Dropbox opted for the tons of space thing.
So my question is, is Dropbox Plus 2TB/month a good deal? As far as I know, there are no hard limits on rates or daily usage. There is no egress fee. How about privacy terms? I assume Google is more evil. How about content delivery network? I assume Google may have more servers around the world and google workspace or AWS S3 might be faster.
